Sculptural acoustic solutions at DEAS: Where aesthetics and function go hand in hand

Our goal is to create the workplaces of the future, showcasing art designed for tranquility while enhancing creativity and productivity. We design acoustic art panels with excellent sound-absorbing properties that contribute to a healthier indoor environment by improving acoustics. Our mission is to create products that inspire and promote well-being for both people and the planet.

Innovative acoustic art creates tranquility and visual beauty in DEAS’ new headquarters

When modern companies move into newly built headquarters, the focus is often on both functionality and aesthetics. This is exactly the case for the property manager and consultant DEAS, which recently relocated to a new, modern headquarters at Grønttorvet in Valby.

To ensure an optimal acoustic experience in the large, open office spaces, DEAS has chosen an innovative solution from Arturel – a company that uniquely combines art and acoustics.

Acoustic enhancement with artistic finesse

Arturel, a startup from Aarhus, has created a unique hybrid between art and acoustic panels. By using 100% recycled materials, including PET plastic collected from nature and textile remnants from Kvadrat’s production, Arturel not only delivers a sustainable solution but also an aesthetic expression that adds character and depth to a space.

For DEAS, Arturel has supplied acoustic artworks for all floors of The Market – the new headquarters. Designed in collaboration with Kvadrat, the panels feature elegant oak frames and are arranged in installations of five to six pieces at a time. This not only enhances the acoustic experience but also creates an artistic expression that brings warmth and vibrancy to the modern office spaces.

Tactility and functionality in a digital age

In a world dominated by glass, steel, and concrete, Arturel’s acoustic panels add an essential sense of tactility, which the employees at DEAS quickly embraced. During the installation, the Arturel team witnessed how employees showed great interest in the artworks and their stories, highlighting the value that the combination of art and functionality can bring to a workplace.

"We are experiencing high demand from architects and interior designers who see the value in our product. Our acoustic panels create a sculptural effect on the walls, not only improving sound but also adding an aesthetic dimension often missing in traditional acoustic solutions."

In addition to being a visual and functional enhancement to DEAS' office environment, Arturel's acoustic panels support the company's focus on environmental responsibility. The materials are traceable and have a minimal carbon footprint, making them an ideal choice for companies looking to integrate responsible solutions into their interior design.

With the move to their new headquarters, DEAS has created a workspace where both sound and visual aesthetics come together in perfect harmony. Arturel's innovative approach to acoustic solutions demonstrates how art and function can be combined to benefit both employees and the overall aesthetic of the company.

"It not only creates a calm acoustic environment but also a visual sense of tranquility. When the artworks also meet today's sustainability requirements, it adds an extra dimension to the product."

DEAS sets new standards for responsible building with DGNB Platinum Certification

In addition to investing in innovative acoustic solutions, DEAS has also reached a historic milestone in sustainable construction. DEAS' new headquarters is the first in Denmark to receive a DGNB Platinum certification in the DGNB Space category, marking a breakthrough in environmentally friendly and resource-efficient building design.

This certification highlights DEAS' commitment to creating healthy, energy-efficient, and climate-friendly workspaces. To achieve DGNB Platinum, DEAS has implemented solutions that reduce energy consumption, improve indoor climate, and ensure a long lifespan for building materials.

This initiative aligns with Arturel's philosophy of responsibility and supports the vision of integrating responsible solutions that not only create a better work environment but also minimize the ecological footprint. By choosing both acoustic art and sustainable building materials, DEAS sets a benchmark for the workplaces of the future.
